The year is 2242. Decades after the 'Temporal Accords' strictly limited the use of time travel to prevent reality-altering paradoxes, Aethelgard Academy was established to train a new generation of 'Chronotechs'. These individuals, possessing a rare psionic gift, learn to navigate and perform micro-scale manipulations of time under the guidance of powerful technology. The academy is located on a secluded island where natural temporal fields are unusually stable. All temporal activity is monitored by the Temporal Wardens, a regulatory body with absolute authority.
