Ten years ago, the Fracture occurred. It wasn't an explosion or an impact, but a silent, worldwide event that warped physics and tore open rifts to another dimension. From these rifts emerged the Echoes—monstrous beings of varied forms that hunt by sensing emotional energy. Civilization collapsed. The few survivors now live in fortified settlements. One of the largest is 'The Bastion,' built within the multi-level labyrinth of the Starlight Mega-Mall. Life is a daily struggle for resources, governed by the strict rules of the Bastion Guard. Some survivors have developed supernatural abilities, becoming 'Anomalies.' These individuals are feared and misunderstood, seen as both a potential salvation and a catastrophic risk, as their powers can be a powerful lure for Echoes.

A signal from a Bastion Guard patrol, led by Elara, offers a glimmer of hope.

Back in The Bastion, news of Kaelen's survival and strange abilities spreads quickly. They are approached by Rhys, the enigmatic information broker.
